Description

I guess I have too much free time.
Recently I found my old maps of various fantasy cities and I was curious if my drawing skills (if I have any) have developed in the last 8 years.....well, I still lack the technique I guess (or, in other words, I basically can't draw anything of value), but I cheer myself that at least it looks more complex. Anyway, I find drawing maps (and wasting my precious time) as entertaining as it was when I was 17.

I'm an accomplished technical artist and know how much work goes into a single design. You have attempted, and successfully illustrated an entire city - which is no small feat that even I would balk at doing. You have my admiration and respect because I would love to be able to do this but sadly, its beyond my abilities at the present time.

And I love maps, in fact I greatly enjoy looking at historical maps and matching them up with modern day ones, tracing the lines of movement, how buildings spring up and vanish. There is a massive wealth of humanity in how we design and how we construct, and the layouts of our settlements - industrial, civil, residential, or even military have a form that follows function.

I notice this was produced in 2014. I intend to check your account for more recent art.
